Sara's High School Senior Portraits | Portrait Photographer Tucson

Sara is going to be a Senior this Fall at Ironwood Ridge High School. We decided to go to Tohono Chul Park for her session. She lives right down the street from there and has never even heard of the place before I mentioned it, but she was glad I did. Photography is one of her favorite hobbies, so she brought her camera along with her on the shoot. Here are just a couple of my favorites from the day.

Kerri's High School Senior Pictures | Portrait Photographer Tucson

It's that time of year again to start thinking about booking your Senior photo sessions for the class of 2010. Kerri will be a Senior at Sabino High School this Fall and chose to get her photos taken at Trail Dust Town. She is very active in drama and is President of the school's Bible club. She can also play a fine tune on her guitar.

Sports canvas prints now available!

I am now offering canvas prints of my sports images I have taken over the years. Many people have asked me about my famous Tiger Woods image and I thought I would make them available to the public. Great for any sports fan. Here are just a few of the many athletes I have covered over the years:

UofA football and basketball players (not available while they are still students due to NCAA rules)
Brandon Roy (while at Washington)
Adam Morrison (while at Gonzaga)
Kevin Durant (while at Texas)
Tiger Woods
Misty May / Kerri Walsh
Ken Griffey Jr.
Nomar Garciaparra
Vladimir Guerrero
Wilbur T. Wildcat

Contact me if you have a specific athlete in mind and I will put together a gallery for you.

Catalina Foothills Prom | High School Photographer Tucson

Yesterday, 6 years after my Senior prom, I took photos of the students attending the Catalina Foothills High School prom held at the Westin La Paloma Resort. They had an arabian nights theme, so we picked a matching backdrop to fit in. Here is a photo of my wonderful assistant LaVon helping out.

Mike and Alissa are married!!!

Mike and Alissa got married on Saturday at Tohono Chul Park. This was my first time covering a wedding there and it is absolutely beautiful!

I started out the day with Alissa and the girls with a bridal brunch at the Tohono Chul Tea Room. More brides should do this for their wedding. I have seen a couple brides do this and it is a great way to start the day off. The location was great, the food was fabulous and all in a fun, relaxing atmosphere.

After brunch, we went on over to Hair & Skin Studio to get Alissa’s hair done.

A majority of the guests were from out of town. We went on over to the Windmill Suites next where Alissa got prepared for the ceremony. Umbrella's were bought just in case the rain got really bad later in the day.

I headed on over to the park just when it started to rain. After reviewing the options, they decided to move everyone under the ramada for the ceremony to keep dry.

The rain stopped afterwards so we were able to get some nice portraits before we left to Mike’s parents house for the reception.

Mike's dad even built a fireplace in the back yard specifically for the wedding.

Many people say rain is good luck on your wedding day. I certainly hope so as Mike and Alissa are a great couple!

Changes to UofA Basketball

The past 2 years have been crazy for the University of Arizona men's basketball program. With Lute Olson's health problems and deciding to retire just weeks before the 2008-2009 season his actions have taken a major hit on the program. Over the past 2 years, I have been doing more and more coverage on the basketball team. I have been following the team my entire life and here are just some changes being made:

2007-2008 coach Kevin O'Neal and 2008-2009 coach Russ Pennell did what they could with the program, but left them with no recruits for the upcoming season. Sean Miller, previous Xavier University head coach, will take over full-time and will hopefully return the team to glory.

Photobucket

Two of UofA's best players from last year Chase Budinger and Jordan Hill have declared early for the NBA draft leaving the Arizona roster even thinner than it was this year.

I personally think Sean Miller was a great choice to bring in as head coach. Hopefully he will get this program heading in the right direction.

Wednesday Wedding at Mt. Lemmon | Wedding Photographer Tucson

Elyse and Kevin decided to get married at Mt. Lemmon, Arizona on Wednesday. It was a short ceremony with only immediate family. It was a little windy, but they toughed it out.
